Josef Reicha

Josef was the uncle of Antoine Reicha and could have influenced his nephew’s music through the merits of his partitas. In his youngsters Josef examined with Werner on both cello and piano. He was a prominent cellist in the orchestra from the Count number of Hartburg and his playing was lauded by Leopold Mozart. Reicha became a head in the electoral courtroom orchestra in Bonn where in fact the movie theater orchestra performed sacred functions by Caldara and Pergolesi, and operas by Mozart, Gluck, and Salieri. Chromatics and emotive characteristics characterized a few of his compositions.
