Jonezetta

A keen addition to the bumper crop of early-’80s-design retro new influx by bands just barely old more than enough to have been around in diapers because the picture was cresting, Jonezetta can be an unapologetically lighthearted pop music group with no even more agenda than writing their affects from MTV’s start making use of their equally youthful market. Hailing from the tiny town of Clinton, MS, Jonezetta produced when its four associates had been still in senior high school. Vocalist and guitarist Robert Chisolm, business lead guitarist Kyle Howe, bassist Ty Garvey, and drummer Mick Parsons state to have selected their meaningless name in homage to rings like Coldplay, by piecing together two unrelated phrases. Keeping the music group together as a spare time activity as the four associates centered on their university educations, Jonezetta performed occasional gigs over the Southern university circuit, and had been considering packing within the group in nov 2004. However, in a gig in Monroe, LA, using the Christian indie rock and roll act As Metropolitan areas Burn, Jonezetta fulfilled that band’s supervisor, Ryan Rado; impressed using the youthful band’s established, he inspired the music group to intensify and spend themselves more completely with their music. A demonstration recorded through the bandmembers’ 2005 springtime break incited a small-scale bidding battle, using the music group eventually selecting to sign using the Washington-based indie label Teeth & Nail Information (Danielson Famile, Starflyer 59), using a distribution offer through EMI. In the summertime of 2005, previous All-American Rejects keyboardist Tim Jordan became a member of the music group as their formal 5th member; tragically, Jordan dedicated suicide in Dec 2005, just because the music group was starting to record their debut recording with maker Steve Wilson (the Juliana Theory, etc.). That debut recording, Popularity, premiered in Oct 2006, preceded from the group’s first solitary, “Welcome House.”
