Jonathan Flaugher

Jonathan Flaugher spent some time working extensively in NY like a jazz bassist. Since early 2000, he’s been a normal person in the Howard Fishman Quartet. Originally from NJ, Flaugher began on clarinet and saxophone before switching to bass in senior high school. He majored in jazz research at SUNY New Paltz, which afforded him the chance to try out with veteran music artists through the Catskills circuit. After graduating in 1996, Flaugher shifted to Brooklyn and quickly began graduate research in the Manhattan College of Music. There he fulfilled a few of New York’s best musicians and started his career like a respected sideman.
