Vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Jonatha Brooke began issuing albums that merged folk and pop through the early 1990s, initial as an associate of a lady duo named the storyplot and later being a single artist. Brooke shaped the storyplot (originally known as “Jonatha & Jennifer” through the duo’s early years) along with another vocalist, Jennifer Kimball, who went to Massachusetts’ Amherst University with Brooke in the first ’80s.
