Husky-voiced pop-soul vocalist/songwriter and pianist Jonah Smith was raised in Syracuse, NY, and got his begin using bassist Ben Rubin in Burlington, VT, within the mid-’90s. Both relocated to Boston, and Smith shaped a band known as Deluxe. In 2000, the music group relocated to Brooklyn, where, by November 2000, it experienced evolved in to the Jonah Smith Music group, featuring a coming back Rubin alongside David Soler on acoustic guitar and pedal metal, Bob Reynolds on saxophone, and Marko Djordjevic on drums. They developed a following within the Northeast, documenting the self-released albums Market Guideline (2001) and Under the Underdog (2003). After Smith made an appearance in the SXSW music meeting in 2006, he acquired a manager along with a reserving agent, and he authorized to Relix Information, which offered him his 1st national CD launch with Jonah Smith on June 27, 2006.
