Jon Redfern

b. 1985, Brighton, East Sussex, Britain. Created to a Chinese language mom and an British father, Redfern thought we would communicate himself musically in the folk custom. His singing 1st attracted interest when he was with Tarras, a music group located in north-east Britain. Members from the music group composed a lot of their repertoire which gave Redfern the chance to build up his ideas like a songwriter. After Tarras disbanded, he continuing to function in the north but also made an appearance sometimes in London where he collaborated with multi instrumentalist and arranger Patrick Durkan and bass participant Joss Clapp. Redfern’s single debut, 2007’s COULD BE Some Time, captivated much interest and tracks had been often performed on BBC r / c. His vocal audio is smooth and introspective, getting a plaintive quality towards the lyrics from the tracks he sings, and permitting many listeners to liken him to Nick Drake.
