Jon Raskin

Saxophonist Jon Raskin was created in 1954 in Heppner, OR. He examined structure with Dr. Barney Childs and Allaudin Mathieu and saxophone with John Handy, and in the ’70s, helped discovered San Francisco’s substitute art areas the Blue Dolphin as well as the Plantation. Raskin was music movie director from the Tumbleweed Dance Firm from 1974 to 1977, after that still left to co-found Rova, the renowned saxophone quartet where he has baritone and alto saxophones. Together with his activity in Rova, Raskin offers composed thoroughly for theatre, dance companies, as well as for the film YET ANOTHER Weekend.
