Johnny Whitehorse

Indigenous American flautist Robert Mirabal includes a storied career, bridging traditional and contemporary sounds together in some albums, with some groups. In 2005, he released an eponymous record under an alter ego, the imaginary Johnny Whitehorse. The Whitehorse albums move relatively away from the brand new age group and fusion components that Mirabal provides taken component in, and only a greater focus on Traditional western noises and traditional components (though under both brands he keeps a mixture of outdated and brand-new). As Whitehorse, Mirabal earned a 2008 Grammy for Totemic Flute Chants and was quickly nominated for another, for 2010’s Riders from the Healing Road.
