One of nation music’s most prolific authors ever was Johnny Hathcock, penning a lot more than 400 tunes during his long profession. Rating his first strike in 1954 with “AWAKEN Irene” (documented by Hank Thomas on Capitol), Hathcock also loved another major strike with a music he wrote a decade later on, “Welcome to my Globe,” which continued to be the theme music for renowned nation entertainer Eddy Arnold. Besides Arnold, a lot more than 60 additional artists documented their own variations of the music over time, including Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, and Andy Williams. In the ensuing years, Hathcock worked well for r / c in New Mexico and Tx, as an editorial article writer for Record Stockman (a syndicated livestock publication), and a columnist for the Amarillo Globe-News. 1999 noticed the release of the poetry collection, entitled Nice & Sour. Hathcock passed away on Dec 26, 2000, in Amarillo, TX, at age 81.
