John the Conqueror

Playing a hardcore, soulful combination of blues and hard rock and roll, John the Conqueror certainly are a trio created by guitarist Pierre Moore, who was simply born and elevated in Jackson, Mississippi. Moore started playing acoustic guitar when he was an adolescent, and statements he required lessons from a homeless guy who slept in the trunk room of an area auto repair center. By enough time Moore was going to university in Oxford, Mississippi, he’d became a member of forces along with his cousin Michael Gardner, who performed drums aswell as bass, and both worked collectively in a small number of bands, like the well-known regional combo IZM. Ultimately, Moore and Gardner remaining Mississippi for Atlanta, Georgia, where these were members from the Slack Republic, a punk-influenced indie rock-band created in 2005, with Moore on acoustic guitar and Gardner on bass. The Slack Republic toured the East Coastline, performed a few schedules for the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, and had been featured for the soundtrack of Adam Spooner’s documentary Afro-Punk before contacting it quits in 2007. In 2011, Moore and Gardner relocated to Philadelphia, where they fulfilled bassist Ryan Lynn while scouting out music artists for a fresh music group. While Gardner originally designed to play bass in the group, he and Moore had been impressed more than enough with Lynn that Gardner shifted to drums to support him. The trio got the name John the Conqueror, which identifies an African-American folk hero (he was reported to be an African prince who was simply kidnapped and taken up to America being a slave, but under no circumstances allowed his experts to break his nature or his satisfaction) and a vegetable whose root can be believed to possess marvelous properties. John the Conqueror debuted in the springtime of 2011, and shortly began playing for the East Coastline aswell as recording a set of EPs they released as digital downloading. John the Conqueror’s developing group of fans and positive press notices captured the interest of Alive Naturalsound Information, which released the group’s self-titled debut record in nov 2012. The music group hit the street hard in support, and in 2014 came back using their second full-length, THE NICE Lifestyle.
