John Paul Thomas

Musician John Paul Thomas was created in Alabama in 1927 and found its way to Hawaii in 1965, having been handicapped during World Battle II. Thomas was a citizen of Hawaii for another 40 years, and resolved in Kona. A partner of and collaborator with traditional composer Jerre Tanner, Thomas supplied extremely ornamental artwork for many albums for the Albany imprint, including Tanner’s Youngster with Goldfish, offering music motivated by Thomas’ group of Hawaiian tale paintings. Thomas passed away in 2001 at age 74 in Honolulu.
