Biography
Conductor John Mauceri commenced early piano research along with his Sicilian-born grandfather. A prolific pupil, he received many honors before getting into Yale University, where Mauceri majored in music theory and structure. After a season at Yale’s graduate college, Mauceri was appointed music movie director from the Yale Symphony Orchestra and continued to be on the faculty for 15 years, leading many premieres.
