Biography
Being a conductor, John Lanchbery was generally connected with ballet, though he also worked in so-called television opera and operetta. Being a composer and arranger, he composed music for movies, tv and radio, and designed new orchestral variations of well-known ballets, including Les Sylphides, The Stories of Hoffmann, Don Quixote, and Giselle. He also modified the ratings of well-known operettas to ballet, included in this Die Fledermaus, Rosalinda, as well as the Merry Widow.
