Pianist Joey Alexander can be an extremely gifted jazz musician who 1st found the public’s interest like a prodigy prior to the age group of ten. Created Josiah Alexander Sila in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia in 2003, Alexander was released to music by his dad, an novice musician and jazz aficionado. By age group six, Alexander got taught himself how exactly to play piano by hearing albums by Louis Armstrong, Thelonious Monk, Expenses Evans, while others. Without formal teaching, and initially just playing on a little keyboard his dad had provided him, Alexander accomplished a high amount of skills. By age group eight he was jamming with regional experts, and in 2012 got the opportunity to try out for Herbie Hancock, who was simply going to Jakarta, Indonesia like a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. The next year, Alexander earned 1st place in the Get better at Jam-Fest in Odessa, Ukraine. For his rendition from the John Coltrane-penned name track, Alexander gained a Grammy nomination for Greatest Improvised Jazz Single.
