In 1999 guitarist/composer/singer/arranger Joel Harrison relocated to NEW YORK from the Western Coast, where in fact the multi-talented musician spent years leading different organizations and ensembles, in addition to freelancing like a very much in-demand session player across the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA area. His electrifying mixture of innovative jazz, modern traditional, and cultural fusion offers spawned seven critically lauded albums (3+3=7, Flexibility, Transience, Free Nation, SUCH A LONG TIME 2nd Road, Harrison on Harrison, Harbor, Passing Teach, and MYTHS), in addition to several film and documentary ratings. In 2011, Harrison explored The Music of Paul Motian on his aptly entitled record. The following calendar year, he returned using the exploratory quintet record Holy Abyss as well as the classical-influenced Search. In the past due springtime of 2013, Harrison released Infinite Likelihood using a 19-piece big music group.
