Joe Egan

b. c.1944 Scotland. The previous partner of Gerry Rafferty in Stealers Steering wheel, Egan documented two low-key albums after their last disintegration. Out Of Nowhere included the alluring ‘Back ON THE HIGHWAY Once again’, a turntable strike on UK radio. Both albums had been similar in framework towards the three Stealers Steering wheel collections and confirmed the significant songwriting capability of Egan, who unfortunately was struggling to discover his very own ‘Baker Road’. After quite a few years of musical inactivity Egan caused Rafferty with the addition of some support vocals on his 1993 record ON THE Wing & A Prayer. He also benefited from the usage of the Rafferty/Egan structure ‘Stuck IN THE CENTRE With You’ in the film Tank Canines that same season.
