Joe Davies was a studio room bassist who recorded in Nashville in the ’70s. Without doubt there are plenty of recordings, a few of them posting demos, where he shows up uncredited. He turns up in the self-titled record by vocalist Carol Grimes but is certainly a little bit overshadowed by the current presence of a Memphis studio room hotshot contingent which includes fellow bassist Duck Dunn.
