Joanna Wallfisch

Delivered in London, Britain, fragile- however, not frail-voiced jazz vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Joanna Wallfisch may be the girl of classical cellist Raphael Wallfisch and violinist Elizabeth Wallfisch. Her single debut, the sensitive Crazy Swan, was documented in 2011 on the Douglas Road Studios in Brooklyn, NY and released in early 2012. That same season, she finished a Experts in Jazz Efficiency through the Guildhall College of Music and Dilemma in London and relocated to NEW YORK. In 2013, she toured the U.S. with Wynton Marsalis as well as the Jazz at Lincoln Middle Orchestra within the Chorale le Chateau, and in 2014 made an appearance on film soundtracks including All of the Beautiful Factors and Desert Dancer. Her second record, 2015’s THE FOUNDATION of Adjustable Factors offering pianist Dan Tepfer, contains eight first compositions and four addresses, including a hushed interpretation of Radiohead’s “Creep,” Tim Buckley’s “Tune to a Siren,” as well as the Academy Award-nominated Tiomkin-Washington tune “Wild May be the Wind.”
