Joanna Dean

Joanna Dean was perhaps one of the most appealing blues artists from the late ’80s. Agreed upon to a significant cope with Polydor, she was in comparison to Janis Joplin and Bonnie Raiit following discharge of her debut record, Misbehavin’, in 1989. As the record showcased her abilities as an interpreter with original variations of nine music, including the Moving Rocks’ “Gimme Shelter,” Dean composed or co-wrote all except one tune on her behalf second record, “Code of Honor.” Documented using a music group, Bad Love, the record was marked with a dark, somber build and included heart-retching music about alcoholism and suicide. One tune, “Like Harm,” was documented being a duet with Tom Kiefer of Cinderella.
