Jo Harman

Spirit and blues singer/songwriter Jo Harman was created in Luton, but was raised in Devon in the south-west of Britain. Although she didn’t result from a musical family members, she focused on learning it, and went to the Brighton Institute of Contemporary Music. Pursuing her graduation, she self-released Live in the Hideaway, which captured the interest of music promoter Live Country and got her a slot machine assisting the Cranberries. Harman adopted up that live record with her debut studio room recording, Dirt on My Tongue, which she also released individually. Although her music was affected heavily from the blues, she also cited modern performers like Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, and Amy Winehouse as affects alongside legendary performers like Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta Wayne. In 2014 she was granted a grant from your Music Export Development Scheme therefore she could promote her recording in the U.S. marketplace. The achievement of her 1st record noticed her carrying out at London’s Bluesfest in the Royal Albert Hall, and in 2015 she was asked to execute with Patti Smith and Joan Baez at Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience honours in Berlin. Harman’s second studio room record, People We Become, was documented in Nashville and planned for launch in early 2017.
