Playing fiddle from an early on age, Revard relocated to neighbouring Tx where, in the first 30s, he led a semi-pro music group in San Antonio. It had been right here that he noticed and employed teenage brothers Emil (metal acoustic guitar) and Adolph Hofner (vocals/acoustic guitar).
