Jim Wynn

Saxophonist and bandleader Jim Wynn was created June 21, 1912, in Un Paso, TX, but was raised in LA, where his initial device was the clarinet. Switching to tenor saxophone, he started his professional profession with Charlie Echols and was a sideman on a huge selection of Western world Coastline recordings, including an extended association with Johnny Otis. Being a bandleader (frequently billed as Big Jim Wynn), he documented sporadically from 1945 to 1959 with twelve different brands, including 4 Superstar/Gilt Advantage (which released his best-known aspect, “Ee-Bobaliba”), Modern, Area of expertise, Supreme, and Mercury. Wynn turned to baritone sax afterwards in his profession, and continued functioning being a sideman in to the 1970s. He passed away in 1977.
