The R&B-inflected surf combo the Deltas formed at Fresno Condition College in 1961. Ultimately billed as Jim Waller & the Deltas, the music group highlighted a lineup of Waller on piano and body organ, Terry Christofsen on electric guitar, Ray Carlson on saxophone, Terry Christenson on drums, and Eddie Atkinson on bass. The Deltas released an LP of instrumentals known as Surfin’ Crazy on Arvee Information in 1963 (Sundazed reissued Surfin’ Crazy on Compact disc in 1995). A 45 one, “Bells Are Buzzing”/”Super Hawk,” made an appearance afterwards in 1963 from Warner Brothers as the Four Seasons-like vocal aspect “Provide My Love an opportunity” was released in 1964 by Cambridge Information. The music group disbanded in 1967.
