Jim Knodle

Trumpeter Jim Knodle continues to be using jazz outfits because the early ’80s (initially in the western world ensemble, before relocating to Ballard, Washington, where he today resides). Past groupings have included Round Cowboys, Inside Out, which Room (with vocalist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sue Ann Harkey), before releasing his own single profession in 1999, using the Louie Information discharge Unprepared. Knodle in addition has lent his playing abilities to recordings by various other artists, like the Jim Basnight Thing’s Jim Basnight Thing, Kelly Fernandi’s Tune for Parents and Children As well, Aiko Shimada’s Another Total Moon, the Shade Sharks’ Record from a Log, Gary Michael Tipton’s Stories of Majesty, and Lynette Westendorf’s Encircled by Green. Knodle’s playing may also be noticed on such different artist choices as Tribute left Banke: Darkness Breaking Over Our Minds and BACK TO WHERE IT STARTED: A Tribute to Gene Clark.
