Jim Beebe

Jim Beebe has led his own regularly functioning music group in Chicago because the mid-1970s, executing Dixieland, golf swing and mainstream requirements. Back 1948 when he was an adolescent, Beebe noticed the Jazz Ltd. music group and was influenced to try out trad jazz. After going to university in Wisconsin and providing in the armed service (where he used the 3rd Sea Division Music group), Beebe worked well for 3 years with Bob Scobey. He was the alternative to the ailing Fred Assunto using the Dukes of Dixieland, used the Salty Canines and Little Sibling Montgomery and continued a tour using the Celebrities of Jazz, an all-star group that included Artwork Hodes and Crazy Expenses Davison. A fixture in Chicago for many years, Jim Beebe documented two albums for Delmark in 1979, one in 1996, and was a sideman on the Franz Jackson program for the label.
