Delivered of Korean, Japan, and Mongolian ancestry, provocative, androgynous, multi-faceted indie pop musician Jhameel was raised within a sleepy city in Minnesota. Innovative, powered, and multilingual, the high price of furthering his education led him to a armed forces recruiter, even though still in senior high school, he inserted in to the U.S. Army’s Reserve Official Training Corps plan. This program allowed him to wait the School of California, Berkeley, but using the caveat that he’d need to commit four many years of his lifestyle to the military services, an idea that grew more and more difficult as his cultural and politics worldview expanded, credited in no little part towards the university’s mentioned liberal environment. He ultimately dropped from the ROTC, and within 2 yrs, experienced graduated summa cum laude having a level in Arabic, transformed his name to Jhameel (he won’t release his delivery name), and embarked on the profession in music. Influenced by Prince, Michael Jackson, as well as the high-energy, mercurial, electro-pop of rings like Phoenix and MGMT, the vocalist, maker, and multi-instrumentalist self-released his eponymous debut recording in ’09 2009, adopted in 2011 from the Dance EP, and his sophomore full-length The Human being Condition.
