Jewel Ackah

b. Feb 1945, Nzima, Ghana. Ackah began his profession as a specialist footballer, but continued to utilize his effective, soul-tinged vocals using the cover-version music group the Pick and choose Ups in 1965. This is accompanied by stints with C.K. Mann’s Carousel Seven, the Eldoradoes as well as the Medican Lantics. He was also vocalist using the Nice Talks at numerous occasions between 1975 and 1979, and during one of is own periods from the music group in the past due 70s, he rejoined Mann for an American tour.
