Jerry Knight

Bassist Jerry Knight was a founding person in Raydio and continued to be together until 1980. Knight experienced previously used Expenses Withers before becoming asked by Ray Parker, Jr. to become listed on Raydio. It had been Knight’s business lead vocal around the gorup’s 1st hit “Jack port and Jill.” Knight remaining for a single cope with A&M in 1980. But while “Overnight Feeling” and “Ideal Match” each produced the R&B Best 20, non-e of his LPs produced consistent product sales, and Knight departed the label in 1983. He documented with Polydor in 1984 as half a duo billed as Ollie And Jerry. Knight also loved some success like a composer, composing “Tonight” for The Whispers and “Desire” for Phillip Bailey in 1983. He created Howard Hewitt’s “Problem,” and did bass focus on many sessions.
