Jerry Garcia Band

Though he was chiefly referred to as the leader from the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia was a lot more than that. For most, he was the embodiment from the freewheeling creative spirit from the 1960s. A masterly guitarist and songwriter, and an extremely underrated vocalist, Garcia was a genuine music lover, including himself in various non-Dead projects over time. His most common task was the Jerry Garcia Band, which created in 1975 and created one studio recording, 1978’s Cats Beneath the Celebrities. Regular live shows followed through the ’80s and ’90s, in addition to the live recording Jerry Garcia Music group, documented in 1990. After Garcia’s loss of life in 1995, a lot more archival live units had been released. Bassist John Kahn and key pad participant Melvin Seals had been probably the most regular sidemen within the music group.
