A founding person in among the Top Peninsula’s initial punk rings, the Regulars, Michigan-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Porter continues to be performing and touring because the early 1990s, carving out a name for himself in hard-hitting regional rings just like the Offramps, SlugBug, and Fidrych. Having a heady mixture of rootsy Americana, country-rock, punk, and power pop, Porter officially embarked on the solo career this year 2010 using the Magwheel Records-issued Component of 1. Missing the roar of a complete music group behind him, he enlisted assistance from Offramps and Fidrych bassist Jason Bowes and Hotwells drummer Gabriel Doman, and released his second single outing, 2013’s Partner in Criminal offense, beneath the moniker Jeremy Porter & the Tucos.
