Jennifer O’Connor

Born in a little city in Connecticut, vocalist/songwriter Jennifer O’Connor (who also moved with her family members to Florida before she started senior high school) was always thinking about music. Nevertheless, she didn’t consider her 1st stab at songwriting until 1996, after she experienced finished university in Atlanta and became a member of a local music group called Violet. The budding musician transferred to NEW YORK three years afterwards and made a decision to go after a solo job, pitching her weary vocals atop a synthesis of confessional folk-pop and indie rock and roll songcraft. Her self-titled debut was released in 2002, garnering advantageous comparisons to functions by Liz Phair and Mazzy Superstar. Three years afterwards, The Color as well as the Light premiered by the brand new York-based Crimson Panda label, and following a proceed to Matador Information, O’Connor issued On the Mountain, Over the Valley and Back again to the Superstars in 2006. She remained with the label for 2008’s Right here with Me, that was documented in 12 times alongside visitor players in the Keep Steady and Ben Folds Five.
