Jennifer Bynum

Equally more comfortable with the classical European repertoire and BLACK spirituals and folksongs, Jennifer Bynum is a featured soloist for such orchestras simply because the Nashville Symphony, the Colorado Symphony, as well as the Waterbury Symphony. Bynum is becoming increasingly known on her behalf interpretations of BLACK music. Her dual portrayal of Serena and Bess produced the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Symphony’s display of Porgy + Bess in NY, among the highlights from the 1998 opera period. A year afterwards, she performed using the Memphis Symphony during festivities of Martin Luther King’s birthday and sang BLACK spirituals, including “Oh, Just what a Gorgeous Town” and “Wade in water,” using the Philharmonic Baroque Orchestra. A graduate from the College or university of Colorado, in Boulder, as well as the Cornish Institute of Music in Seattle, WA, Bynum proceeds to review privately with Olivia Stapp.
