Jeff “Tain” Watts

Jeff “Tain” W came to popularity as drummer with the first Wynton Marsalis music group. He continues to be greatly popular since, playing and documenting with such music artists as Geri Allen, Ricky Ford, Robin Eubanks, Betty Carter, McCoy Tyner, Gary Thomas, and Branford Marsalis, amongst others. He produced his debut being a head for the Sunnyside label in 1991 and became a member of the Tonight Present Music group when Branford Marsalis became its movie director. Jeff Watts is certainly both a virtuosic along with a refined drummer who’s versatile enough to match into many configurations.
