The underground hip-hop duo Jedi Brain Tricks began within the streets of Philadelphia in early 1996. Close friends since senior high school, maker Stoupe the Foe of Mankind and MCs Vinnie Paz (aka Ikon the Verbal Hologram) released the Amber Probe EP in 1996 and, twelve months later, obtained a cult pursuing using the full-length Psycho-Social, Chemical substance, Biological & Electro Magnetic Manipulation (that was reissued in 2003 thanks to the Babygrande label). Released in 2000, the sophomore work Violent by Style designated the group’s last recording before putting your signature on to Babygrande, along with the 1st to feature Jus Allah (aka Megatron). Jus Allah’s tenure within the group became short-lived, nevertheless, as he remaining immediately after the album’s launch. Beneath the labelship of Babygrande, Jedi Brain Tricks released 2003’s Visions of Gandhi — including the music “Pet Rap,” offering Paz’s idol Kool G Rap — and 2004’s Legacy of Bloodstream, not forgetting a compilation of early 12″ information entitled Outerspace). The duo also started featuring an military of rappers on the albums, with regular guests including 7L, Esoteric, Apathy, Tragedy Khadafi, and Louis Reasoning. In 2006, Vinnie Paz’s hip-hop supergroup produced its full-length debut with Military from the Pharaohs: The Torture Documents, while the launch of Jedi Brain Methods’ Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell demonstrated the MC’s main group was still working. Jus Allah after that made his go back to the JMT lineup, which released A BRIEF HISTORY of Assault in 2008. 2011 discovered the discharge of Assault Begets Assault, the collective’s initial discharge without the creation help of Stoupe the Foe of Mankind.
