Jeanie Bryson

Jeanie Bryson is a subtle and somewhat sensuous singer with a little and appealing tone of voice. Dizzy Gillespie’s child (an undeniable fact concealed from everyone during his life time), her mom may be the songwriter Connie Bryson. She graduated from Livingston University in 1981, and freelanced for ten years, visiting Europe many times. Bryson documented several good albums for Telarc beginning in 1992, including a Peggy Lee tribute; she also sang on Terence Blanchard’s documented group of Billie Holiday-associated tunes.
