Jean-Noël Hamal

From your southern area of the Netherlands and a chorister at St Lambert Cathedral, Hamal composed in a number of genres including opera, oratorio, cantata, people, motets, litanies, overtures, sinfonia, and numerous functions for the harpsichord. He analyzed using the Cannon Henri Dupont and journeyed to Rome to Liege University where he analyzed with Amadori. When Delhaye retired from St Lambert Cathedral, Hamal became the movie director of music. He was a forerunner towards the Classical symphony composers by the type from the three component constructions of his overtures. In 1749 he journeyed to Rome together with Jommelli also to Naples together with Durante. The oratorios “Judith” and “Jonas” had been both made up by Hamal between 1756 and 1758. Along with his moves to Rome, as well as the impact of his educators, a solid Italian current prevails in Hamal’s shorter functions and people; but, the cantatas and motets managed the solid French tradition.
