As an associate of professional little music ensembles, d’Estree was an oboist, composer and choreographer. Nearly all his compositions had been dances though he didn’t often utilize the normative chanson form. Four books of “danseries” had been compiled by d’Estree you need to include about 120 different branles in variance. A few of his functions are extant because of the reprinting by Phalese.
