This short-lived all-star group toured during section of 1991, and showcased within an intelligent and coherent fashion a number of the top “Young Lions” from the era: trumpeters Roy Hargrove and Marlon Jordan, altoist Antonio Hart, Tim Warfield on tenor, guitarist Tag Whitfield, pianist Benny Green, bassist Christian McBride, and drummer Carl Allen. They documented one fine record for Novus prior to the potential bandleaders all proceeded to go their separate methods.
