This duo comprising MC MUDD (originally from Chicago) and DJ Ragz (originally from Sacramento) say their mission would be to bring texture and lyricism back again to hip-hop. The neo-jazz turntablism, lounge examples, electronic noises, and abstract beats make richly split soundtracks. Ragz skill is to develop a cohesion with disparate noises; MUDD seeks to check out in the footsteps of legends like KRS-One where his tone of voice offers a charisma blended with story-telling and an enviable vocabulary. His lyricism is certainly described by his awareness and understanding. Their album Air Rejuvenated, released in 2007, searched for to fully capture an old-school vibe within today’s audio.
