Jay & the Techniques

Biography

A Philadelphia group whose audio and tunes were more pop than spirit, Jay & the Methods earned some factors for the playful, joyous “Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie,” that was their lone Top 10 R&B and pop hit in 1967 on Smash. They got factors in a few circles to be a group; lead vocalist Jay Proctor, Karl Landis, Ronnie Goosly, John Walsh, George Lloyd, Chuck Crowl, and Dante Dancho had been within the lineup. They held plugging away before past due ’70s, but never really had another strike, although their music “Baby Make Your Personal Nice Music” was very popular in England.
