Jay Hoggard

Jay Hoggard has already established a wide-ranging profession. Among the best vibraphonists to emerge through the 1970s, Hoggard originally began on piano and saxophone before switching to vibes. By the first ’70s, he was employed in New Britain with such best avant-garde players as Anthony Davis and Leo Smith. Hoggard transferred to NY in 1977, where he used Chico Freeman and Anthony Davis. In 1978, he documented a single avant-garde vibes functionality, but he implemented it up with a far more commercial time. Hoggard caused such greats as Sam Streams, Cecil Taylor, Adam Newton, and Kenny Burrell, furthermore to leading his very own group; he documented hard bop-oriented times as a innovator for Modern, India Navigation, and many for Muse.
