Danish producers Jatoma — often depicted being a faceless trio — were low-key on the subject of their real-life identities. Their brands had been eventually uncovered as veteran Tomas Barfod (Tomboy, WhoMadeWho) and comparative young people Tomas and Mads (both of whom had been well out of their twenties when the group had taken form). Early this year 2010, the group obtained the interest of Kompakt’s Michael Mayer, plus they had been granted an area in the Cologne-based label’s Total 11 compilation, released that August. “Helix” was among the two-disc established’s features, a lively dancefloor monitor that knocked, rattled, and shimmered in approximately equal measure. Simply over 8 weeks afterwards, Jatoma released their debut self-titled record.
