Jason Palmer

Jazz trumpeter Jason Palmer is a forward-thinking musician having a bent toward adventurous and cerebral post-bop. A indigenous of High Stage, NEW YORK, Palmer analyzed his art at the brand new Britain Conservatory in Boston. While there, Palmer was also a normal at the respectable Boston golf club Wally’s Cafe, where he 1st sat in on jam classes and later became a member of the house music group. Since graduating from university, Palmer offers performed with a number of name music artists including drummer Roy Haynes; saxophonists Benny Golson, Greg Osby, and Ravi Coltrane; guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel; and many more. In 2007 Down Defeat magazine called him among the Best 25 Trumpeters into the future. A year later on, Palmer released his debut single recording, Songbook, on Ayva Music. In ’09 2009 Palmer received first reward in the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Single Competition. That same 12 months, he starred in the impartial musical film Man and Madeline on the Park Bench, where he performed a jazz trumpeter. This year 2010 he released his sophomore work, Nothing to cover, on SteepleChase Information. A year later on, he returned using the recording Here Today, offering saxophonist Tag Turner. In 2012 Palmer shipped his fourth studio room recording, Take a Small Trip, offering reworkings of tunes by legendary spirit vocalist Minnie Riperton.
