The Latin rock group Jarabe de Palo (strictly translated as “wood syrup” in British) was formed in Barcelona in the first ’90s by vocalist and guitarist Pau Donés with guitarist Jordi Mena, drummer Alex Tenas, percussionist Dani Forcada and bassist Joan Gené. Donés, an early on fan from the Beatles and Bob Marley, shaped his first music group with his sibling, but then discovered another lineup for the recently called Jarabe de Palo. The group’s 1997 recording La Flaca do well for the charts within the group’s native property. De Vuelta Y Vuelta was released four years later on.
