Blonde, diminutive Western Virginia indigenous Janet Brace found its way to NY in 1948 and initially sang using the rings of Vincent Lopez and Johnny Long. She consequently became popular like a jazz vocalist in looks at venues like the Town Vanguard as well as the Blue Angel, employed in a jazz idiom. She consequently wedded drummer Don MacLean, who used the Don Elliott Quartet. She documented one jazz recording, Unique Delivery, for ABC-Paramount in 1956.
