Jane Scarpantoni

Jane Scarpantoni is a classically trained cello participant that has made a name for herself among the pre-eminent cellists and string arrangers in alternate music in the 1990s. Graduating from Colgate University or college in Hamilton, NY, in 1982, Scarpantoni quickly became a member of the jazzy folk-pop quintet Tiny Lamps. Her unique design of using Tiny Lights resulted in her carrying out with several other musicians. A few of her best work continues to be with Kristin Hersh, Bob Mould, John Lurie’s Lounge Lizards, R.E.M., Indigo Ladies, as well as the Beastie Kids, as well carrying out with 10,000 Maniacs and Nirvana on MTV’s Unplugged.
