In 1972, she inserted politics, unsuccessfully working for the home of Representatives in the Republican-Conservative series against then-Congressman and afterwards NY Mayor Ed Koch. In 1977, she wedded Walter Hoving, an owner of Tiffany and Bonwit Teller, who passed away in 1989. She spent her old age living on Recreation area Avenue and in Newport, RI, and devoting herself to charitable actions. She passed away in Newport on Feb 21, 1992.
