Jan Nepomucen Bobrowicz

A Polish college student of Giuliani, guitarist and composer. He frequently performed in the Gewandhaus with Lipinski and Wieck after he offered in the armed service in the Warsaw uprising. While in Germany he released Polish books and was denoted the “Chopin of acoustic guitar” by Liszt. His compositions, totalling about 40, included fantasies, marches, polonaises and waltzes. Though Carulli’s intruction manuel could possibly be regarded as sacrosanct, Bobrowicz thought we would revise it.
