Jan Blockx

Blockx was students of Peter Benoit in the Ecole de Musique, which later on became the Flemish Music College. He later on became a lecturer there and was adored by his college students. He became the movie director from the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in 1901 and was an associate from the Royal Belgian Academy. His compositional design is usually a Belgian edition of Passionate realism and he utilizes leitmotif, recitative and lyrical melodies. The debut of his 1st opera =Herbergprinses= (1896) is known as to become the start of Flemish opera.
