Jammin’ Unit

Cem “Jammin’ Device” Mouth is better generally known as half of German acidity/techno group Surroundings Liquide, but has released more materials being a single artist. Documenting (much like his partner Ingmar “Walker” Koch) under a apparently endless selection of pseudonyms — including Cube 40, Zulutronic, Bionic Skank, G104, and Ultrahigh — Mouth was perhaps one of the most prolific performers on the first German acidity picture and helped organize Koln’s important Framework label group (including the Blue, Framework, and DJ Ungle Fever imprints). His newer work has made an appearance through Sm:)e, Pharma, Drive Inc., and once-popular U.K. techno imprint Increasing Great, which released his debut full-length as Jammin’ Device (Jammin’ Device Discovers Chemical substance Dub) in 1995. A dynamic manufacturer and engineer since 1991, Mouth produced mainstream home and techno for a few of German’s most industrial labels before pursuing his distortion-ridden muse in even more experimental directions. His nickname Jammin’ Device derives partly through the German pronunciation of Cem (“jam”). [Discover Also: Zulutronic]
